WHOO-HOO! What a great game and fantastic win by the mighty Hawks. Well done Hodgey, Crawf and all the boys. It was well worth the sleepless night to see such a great performance.
What a day of preparations here while we waited for game time (12:30 am). We began our warm up with a round of golf at the beautiful Owen Sound Golf Club ( Tracy had 41 stableford points and reduced her handicap even more), made sure the pies andd sausage rolls were hot and the beers cold, watched some baseball ( Bluejays won), decorated the house in brown and gold, took in a highlights package of the finals and watched the pre match entertainment.
By game time we were pumped and the game didn't let us down. The only hiccup came with about 12 minutes to go, the Hawks up by 4 goals and Geelong mounting a comeback, when we lost satellite coverage. What panic as we rushed to the computer to get a live score - couldn't get that either. After a few minutes of dread we finally got the coverage back with the Hawks up by 5 and the game safe - phew!
Finally off to bed at 4:00 am happy and tired.
