PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

Days 3, 4 and 5 were spent on Prince Edward Island. We crossed over on the ferry. It was beautiful and the Maritimers( as they are called ) are very proud of their island home. We stayed in Charlottetown and we were there for Canada Day. The place was pumping and there was a festival going on below our hotel. There are 29 golf clubs on the island and they can only play golf 4 months of the year!! We don't know how they make their money. We had lunch at St Peter's Inn which was a resort for golfers. The grounds surrounding the inn were magnificent. We went to a place where a man had designed 4 buildings out of bottles. Day 4 we went to Anne of Green Gable's home which John was thrilled about!!!. After that we had a 4 course lobster dinner and you can tell by the look on John's face he was in his element.
