Days 6 and 7 were spent touring the west coast of Nova Scotia. We crossed over from PEI on the Confederation Bridge which is 13km long and was built 7 years ago. It was a long day on the bus and we arrived at Digby Pines Golf Resort at about 5:00pm. On the way we visited an interactive centre that talked about New Brunswick and a fort. Next day we went whale watching in the morning which was a highlight as we saw some Fin Whales which are the 2nd biggest whales in the world. There was quite a swell and many people were sick(thank god for Dramamine). In the afternoon the boys played golf. We had 2 lovely meals at the resort. The tour bus dropped us off at Halifax airport Saturday morning after visiting an interactive centre about the deportation of the Acadians ( the first people of the maritimes ). The history of the area was very interesting and we had a tour guide who came from the maritimes and was very passionate and knowledgeable of the area.
