LUNENBURG AND PEGGY'S COVE

Day 2 of the tour was the worst day weather wise. It was 12 degrees and rainy and we had to do a walking tour!!!! We headed to a town called Lunenburg which was one of 2 UNESCO towns in Canada. This town was settled by the British in 1753 and they encouraged Protestants to come to Lunenburg. The buildings were magnificent and the one in the photo is a school. We were wandering through the town and came across 2 oxens in the street. We found out that Tauck Tours had organised this and we all had our photos with them. Following this we had a morning tea of dried fish, salted fish, dead fish, raw fish and seaweed!!!! YUM. They had some biscuits for me!!! We then drove to Peggy's Cove which is the most photographed area in Nova Scotia. Unfortunately it was blowing a gale and we didn't last out there long.
