Well we thought we had seen all the beauty there was to see in this country but no, there was more to come!! We had been told that Fall was a lovely time of year and how true they were.
We booked a golf resort in Huntsville( which is 3 1/2 hours north east of here) for the long weekend. The resort was called Deerhurst and it was just lovely. The resort has 2 golf courses. One is called Lakeview and the other Highlands. There is all sorts of accommodation at the resort and we stayed in rooms overlooking the lake. It is a very popular place to have a wedding and on the Saturday there were 5 weddings.
What we couldn't believe was the colours in the Fall leaves. The maple trees are just amazing and hopefully you get a bit of an idea of how beautiful they were from the photos.
Jo and Pat came and played golf with us on the Saturday and Greg Hyams( friend from Melbourne) came and stayed with us for 2 nights.
On the Monday we played the Highlands course which once again had beautiful views over the valley and in the afternoon we drove to Midlands to have Thanksgiving dinner with Joanne and Dan. They were kind enough to have 3 ITF couples for dinner.
