It is a long weekend here( added to the 9 weeks I have already had off) so we decided to get out and about. It is beautiful weather here at the moment( 24-25 degrees) and we are finally having the summer we were told about. We went to Southampton on Saturday for lunch at a nice cafe we had seen and then golf at the Chippawa Golf Course. That night was dinner at Dianne and Jim's ( see photo ). They have taken such good care of us since we have arrived and we are quite often invited to their place for the Canadian barbecue.
Sunday was spent heading to Tobermory again, this time for a paddle. John and I hired 2 kayaks and headed out to explore the islands of the Fathom Five National Park. After paddling for about an hour and a half we pulled our kayaks up onto Russel Island for some lunch and a rest. The sun was beautiful so we decided to have a swim. The water was REFRESHING to say the least!!!
