SKI BUNNIES HIT THE SLOPES

After waking to fresh overnight snow we decided it was time to hit the slopes. We drove to Blue Mountain, a new resort about 30 minutes away. It's been developed by the same company that developed Whistler and is quite inmpressive already even though it's only about half finished. In the photos you can just see Lake Huron in the distance.
The slopes are actually part of the Niagra Escarpment so aren't that high but they're plenty hard enough for our very average skiing ability. The snow was a bit icy but it wasn't too crowded by Mt Buller standards and so we mucked about on the beginner runs to find our feet until we were pretty tired and then headed home. Next weekend we head to Toronto for a "conference", part of which is more skiing at Lakeridge Resort. Can you spot the ski bunnies?

Good to see you guys have hit the slopes....looks like fun. Enjoy Toronto....
Try to keep the 1st weekend of Feb free, or the 16th - as Ottawa hosts Winterlude....a huge winter festival...
be good to catch up and hear stories of your travel thus far...
