TOBERMORY

Today we set off for Tobermory at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula. Instead of driving up the highway we took the "scenic route" (i.e. we got lost). Luckily Erica and Ron's sat nav soon had us back on track, but not before we rescued "Mert the Turt" , a cranky turtle who was searching for her lost brother who had been killed earlier on highway 401 ( Kate!!!!).

The weather was beautiful when we arrived in Tobermory so after a lunch at the "Mermaid's Secret" we strolled down to the port just in time to board a glass-bottomed boat cruise around the harbour and surrounding islands. We saw 2 of the many shipwrecks and so much beautiful scenery our cameras were working overtime.

Naturally we had to relax with a few drinks on the deck at the pub before heading back to Owen Sound
