TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME

This weekend we headed to Trono( canadian language) or Toronto as we know it to see a baseball game. For those that know me well this was very exciting as I played softball for many years and my dad played baseball for 40 years. So the thought of going to a major league game where there were more than one hundred people watching was very exciting. We decided to go to the opening night of their home games and there were 50,000 people. The Toronto Blue Jays were playing the Boston Red Sox in a 3 game series. Rogers Stadium is very much like our Telstra Dome with the closed roof. The stadium was electric as it was all Blue Jays fans with only a smattering of Red Sox fans. The Blue Jays won 6-3 and the crowd went wild. Even John who is not a baseball fan quite enjoyed it!

We decided to stay in Toronto for the weekend as we got very cheap accommodation in a four star hotel ( $60 per night to stay at the Sheraton ). We went up the CN tower ( tallest tower in the world), visited Kensington Market with a friend from Owen Sound, Dianne and went on the Harbour cruise. The weather was magnificent ( well for here anyway ) 10 degrees both days with clear blue skies. Snow is almost gone!!! BRING ON SPRING!!!
