OFF TO TOBERMORY

The scenic area of where we live is the Bruce Peninsula and we have been told since we arrived that we have to go to Tobermory and the peninsula and do some hiking. It just so happens that our neighbours have a cottage in Tobermory which is at the very tip of the peninsula, so they offered to take us up there for the weekend. Their names are Rob and Judy and they have been very good to us. We went up Saturday morning and had a look at the Tobermory township, had lunch and then went for a hike to Cypress Lake and the grotto (an underwater cave). John, Rob and I climbed down to the grotto and the colors in the water were amazing. We stayed at their cottage Saturday night ( see photo ) which looks out over the waters of Lake Huron and lazed around Sunday morning. We had a walk along their shoreline Sunday afternoon and then headed home.
